Passive fire protection is the primary measures integrated within the fabric of a building to provide fire safety by responding against flame, heat and smoke. Passive fire protection attempts to contain fires or slow the spread, through use of fire-resistant walls, floors, and doors etc.

Typically passive fire protection is provided during the initial construction of a building in accordance with the relevant standards at the time. Alterations to the building and its use, or changes to legislation may require retrospective measures to be used to maintain the protection required.

Rather than replace original doors throughout the building with less aesthetic fire doors, we can upgrade the existing doors. This often proves more cost effective that replacements whilst retaining the look of your property.
